With all the hubbub on my Project I niche site, I’ve been neglecting setting up what Nichenomics claims are the “essential” plugins for WordPress. How can you find me and work along if you don’t even know I exist?
Adding “essential” plugins for Web 2.0, lift off in 5… 4… 3… 2… 1!!!

And as for another “design decision”, why don’t I let you in on the subject of my first project? After all, it won’t be of much help if you don’t know half of what’s going on, right? Some would argue that doing that would give you, the reader, an “edge” and put us at competition. But would that be such a bad thing?
Besides, once you see just how much goes into this affiliate marketing gig, do you really want to compete with someone who has more time and experience at building web sites and project management than you do?
Yes, I’m boasting! And I’m daring you to get off your butt and do something for yourself. Check out what I’ve got going. You can do better, can’t you? Then do it! And leave comments with your own niche endeavors. The online playing field is so wide we may never catch up to each other. I like that, don’t you?
Now it’s time to get on with Phase II which involves posting my content to the sites that Google, Yahoo, and MSN have a happy relationship with. More later…
The day after I first read through Dustin Bow’s Nichenomics I went through and reprinted about half the book. The sales page for this course is correct — you can literally put this book next to your computer and start making money by following it step-by-step.
Since not everyone is at the same level of education when it comes to internet marketing there obviously has to be some detailed explanation. The reason I reprinted and put half the text into a folder was because I just needed a little “report” to go through and check off my progresses. That and the fact that I have a small desk and very little work area. I need to conserve space!
Nichenomics gives one of the best reviews of Web 2.0 strategy that I’ve seen for such an agreeable price. Of course, it’s up to us readers to actually put this into action.
Getting results won’t be easy for you if you’re still trying to wrap your mind around social networking. It’s really time to accept the changes that the Internet is going through and learn to make them work for you with this simple guide.
In case you need or want more fire power, Dustin currently offers two powerful upgrade options. I made a personal commitment to myself that I would not invest in anyone’s upgrade options until I could put the basic model to work and produce results. You may want to do the same if you’ve been burned by one too many product promoters, but ultimately the decision is your own.
I plan to go far with just the basic version of this book and my current knowledge of Web 2.0, and I’ve set up a “show & tell” blog for you to visit and even work along with if you’d like. Once you visit, you’ll see why I feel confident about creating success by using Dustin’s methodology along with a few other strategies I’ve got under my virtual belt.
In case you haven’t noticed, this affiliate marketing business is a bit more strenuous than a walk in the park on a sunny afternoon in spring. It’s more like making your way home through a series of unpaved alleys on a rickety old bicycle at 2:10 AM after being out at the smoky disco dancing all night.
OK. Maybe it’s not that hard. But I really see that someone with a full-time job would need lots of energy, initiative, and perseverance to keep this type of thing going. Or just to get it going in the first place. These past few weeks have been hard enough for me, even working part-time (albeit for a stress-inducing employer!) and learning songs for my weekly musical performances.
But… THIS! Affiliate marketing is not all that simple and easy. It’s work. Just consider the pay-off, though. It’s work well worth doing.
To keep things in order, I’ve set up a section called “Progress Reports”. That’s where I’ll be placing updates. With a bit of discipline these will happen daily — with numerous posts made throughout the most productive days! You may want to subscribe to my RSS feed as soon as you can so you can keep up and start earning your own $5,000 a month.
OK, so this is Month #1, Week #1. In fact it is October 2, 2007 (week 1 being Monday 10/1/07 – Sunday 10/7/07). The one basic detail is our budget for the month to do online marketing: $150.00
Our proposed revenue after expenses: $5,000.00
Note: This is, again, loosely based on Dan Raine’s $15k Challenge
which started August 28, 2006. On his blog for that project Dan says, “Over the next 30 days I am going to attempt to make $15,000 in clear profit starting with only $150.”
Now, Dan has the experience and skills to take $150 and turn it into $15,000 in clear profit in 30 days. Actually you’ll see by reading the post that he missed his mark by only about $500.
I, on the other hand, am not Dan Raine. I’ve only ever worked in offices, played music for a living, and failed pretty badly in commission sales and telemarketing. I’d be happy to make $1,500.00 in 30 days, which leads me to a new, more realistic idea for all of us.
Project A: Take a budget of $150.00 for the month and make $1,667.00 in clear profit by Day 31
Project B: Reinvest $150.00 of last month’s profits and make $3,334.00 in clear profit by Day 61
Project C: Reinvest $150.00 of last month’s profits and make $5,000.00 in clear profit by Day 90
So, here is YOUR most important part:
